The Bullitt County Detention Center was designed and constructed to provide the citizens of Bullitt County with a safe and secure facility that meets or exceeds the standards articulated by local, state, federal and professional agencies.

The Detention Center, under the direction of the Jailer, will ensure the safety of the inmate, Detention Center staff, deputies and community by providing professional training and proper work environment for the Detention Center staff and deputies by utilizing the most current techniques available in the field of detention centers/corrections.

By availing ourselves of community resources, by careful and progressive planning, coupled with the use of inmate management techniques, this Detention Center will operate in the most cost-effective manner possible.
